"I am not usually fussy in terms of a place to stay, easily pleased.
But this place was absolutely dreadful...
The pictures the show first of all are very misleading and give the impression that the place is something it is not. Says on their own description they are classed as a 3 star hotel only on account that they have no elevator, this is an outright lie and not the case.
There is a dedicated lift and also a vintage lift that could be doing with a good scrub, thing was thick with dust.
1.Hotel does not have a dedicated bar as such, you ask reception for a drink and have to sit in the lobby to drink it.
2.There was a lack of simple provisions in the rooms, shampoo, conditioner and soaps.
3.Electronics are diabolical, no phone to contact reception, and no iron for your clothes. Unheard of in this day and age.
4.No Restaurant at the stay location, breakfast was available but wasn't great, only available between 7.30am to 10am, rest of the day a bag of crisps was as much as you could get.
Again a disgrace. More so a glorified B&B than a hotel.
5.My Fiancée got me this stay in Edinburgh for Christmas and paid close to £400 for 2 nights thinking this place was gonna be luxurious and grand, it was such a let down for both her and myself, we got an extra night's stay in the Voco hotel in Haymarket for £80, and that really was a hotel.
Moral and summary, I would advise anyone considering to stay here to just not. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere, if I could give it no stars I would.
Theee worst place I have ever stayed hands down.
Ps, its built on a graveyard and is definitely haunted 👻"
