"Bed was very uncomfortable-sunk in the middle and digging into my back, couldn’t even lay next to my partner. I was not aware it would be two mattresses together to make a King which should have a topper on it or properly placed so you can’t tell-there was also no top sheet to use when comforter was too warm I had to ask for one twice and put it on myself, the mattress wasn’t properly wrapped and there was no protective pillow covers on the pillows which appeared to be well used and need to be replaced. There was also an old dirty/moldy mattress under the bed as well which I asked to be removed. No full length mirror in room, shelf in shower was loose on wall and slanted so no way you could use it, not enough towel bars or hooks anywhere. There was nowhere to control the thermostat in the room that we could find. It was not the junior suite room I was expecting as per the picture on site. When room was cleaned towels weren’t properly restocked nor was tissue/toilet paper.. Room was large and hotel is in a nice quiet location near everything which is basically the only positive I had. I booked direct with them instead of through Hilton and regret that because I now lost out on points as well-I also didn’t like that I was requested to pay for my room upfront upon check in. I have never had to do that before. I definitely would not consider this a luxury hotel as per the SLH name and won’t stay again or recommend."
