Apex Waterloo Place

"Excellent location. The road is under construction but Uber still comes. Walking distance to Calton Hill and old burial ground and also multiple places to eat. I literally walked everywhere from here including Edinburgh Castle, Royal Mile, Holyrioodhouse and Abby. Easy walk to a mall. Breakfast is good at hotel though pricey. Room is spacious. Bed is a bit firm-I had them bring me an additional pillow topper that is similar to an English saddle blanket. Desk help were extremely helpful and nice for the most part, a couple were a bit brisk for this price level. Also the bar staff ignored and never seated me though I stood at entrance ten minutes. Maybe it was my blue jeans and sweatshirt. Whatever. I went elsewhere. I would recommend staying here if you are happy recognizing and accepting the benefits of amenities approaching a luxury hotel but at a more affordable cost, yet far above budget lodging with some service points more amenable to that level. The location alone makes up for any minor experiences. That was my experience."

"The room was too small, and the twin beds were not separated as booked. The receptionist simply told me to separate them myself, which was unprofessional. There was no luggage trolley or assistance, and staff watched as I struggled with my bags to the train station. The coffee from the machine was also horrible. Overall, a very disappointing experience and poor customer service."
