"Mary was welcoming. She was the only positive thing about our experience, was the warm welcome by Mary. The hotel couldnt be classed as good at all. In all honestly it is the worst Premier Inn i have visited. The smell of cannibis was unreal in the orridor on both Friday and Saturday, I mentioned it to Mary but it was the same after this, the corridor was badly smelling of this which was very unpleasant. Very poor that there is no visable presence of staff on the reception desk. Press a bell isnt what customers want. There is a lack of close by amenities and the Toby Carvery next door is poor, food is bad and customer base is undesirable. The location of this hotwl is poor costing of 21pounds each wasy into city. Noisy area with a hospital close by and fire station next door. Hear alot of sirens, heating was switched off and no fan or air conditioning in room so too warm and duvet too heavy for winter, I took the cover off to use that and was disgusted to see the stained duvet. The hotel standards were poor, very poor. The mattress protector had blood on it. The outside area to the reception door is filthy and needs a good clean, a power wash or old fashioned scrubbing brush with hot water, the first impression wasnt great and this really did set the theme for our stay "Dissapointment" the room were poorly cleaned this isnt normal Premier Inn standard at all, its poor management and checks."
