The Bedford Hotel Belfast

"We have just stayed at The Bedford twice whilst exploring NI; the first stay was for one night and the second was for two nights. Pros - Great location. It was also very handy for the airport (600) bus. It is also an easy walk to get a rental car. - We mostly experienced exceptional service. - Interior decorating was very well done. - Great breakfast - Great cocktails. The Artisan was wonderful! Cons - Very small room for our first stay. We were travelling with two suitcases and there was not enough room to have both open. The room for our next stay was a very good size. - No biggies but mentioning it in case helpful to others - weak shower (however the rain shower had a good pressure); no fridge. On one day the room cleaning was average (hair left in the shower, crumbs on carpet). NB - the remainder of the time it appeared to be carried out to a very high standard. - Their weakness is an occasional lack of follow through. When I first made enquiries I got no answer and had to resend to prompt a response. We also had a very bad introduction to the hotel but no response from management despite asking to discuss and being told twice that they would make contact. The experience I was wishing to give them feedback on was akin to being in a Fawlty Towers episode and was not the introduction to Belfast that we were seeking!! Overall, The Bedford offers a great product and stay. With a bit of tweaking, it will be exceptional. We will definitely return."

"We have just spent 3 nights at the Bedford, visiting and exploring Belfast for the first time. The hotel is in a perfect central location, with views over Donegal Square, and has been beautifully renovated with an eye to detail, luxury and heritage. We had a fabulous time and would highly recommend it! Highlights were the friendly and helpful staff - mostly locals; the fantastic food - especially the Guinness soda bread and eggs benedict; the great smelling toiletries and the excellent Bedford Martini, made with a few drops of pine oil, which was a new taste experience for me:) I also loved the yoga mat in our room and there was plenty of space to roll it out. This is a classy hotel which added a level of sophistication to our stay in a fascinating city. The Titanic Museum was stunning, and we also visited the extensive Ulster Museum in the Botanic Gardens down near Queens University. As well as the Oh Yeah Music Centre, showcasing the history of the vibrant music scene in Northern Ireland, plus a day trip around the North coast, taking in the Giants Causeway, Bushmills distillery and lush rolling hills along the coastline. All in all, a brilliant trip and the Bedford was our super comfortable and elegant ‘home from home’. We’ll be back!"

"Location was perfect right by the City Hall. Staff are so lovely and helpful, they are a credit to your hotel. Great atmosphere at breakfast and a wonderful choice of quality items and drinks. Our room was very well equipped room with everything we needed. The comfiest bed and pillows as well as beautiful decor. Thank you for the best stay and we are returning in Dec for Christmas Market. Highly recommend a stay here!"
