"We stayed here in room 308 on 13 - 15 August 2026. We absolutely loved this place and I will start right off by saying we would highly recommend and would have no hesitation in staying here again. We arrived at Belfast City (George Best) Airport and after reading other reviews we climbed upon the 600 Translink bus service. We asked when we got onboard if we could travel to Wellington Street and were given a ticket for £2:30 each to Belfast Grand Central Stand 20. The bus never stopped anywhere on route and finally to the surprised of all passengers we arrived at the end of the line Belfast Grand Central Stand 20 within just 12-15 minutes. We all got off and I asked at the central information desk where the hotel was and we were given a map and directions and within 10-12 mins we were at our hotel. If we had realised and rang the buses bell we could have got off at Wellington Street which is only 5 mins walk from the hotel. Anyway not a problem.
Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and we went to our spacious, clean and cosy room. They do have coffee/tea facilities but NO milk there. Anyway the staff at the bar gave us a pot of milk to put in our fridge. They also topped up our water bottles each day so we had water in our rooms to drink.
Breakfast was just superb and highly recommended. The array of hot buffet food, sausages, bacon, black pudding, hash browns, baked beans, scrambled eggs etc. was exceptional. There was plenty of juices, fruit, toast and so you would not go hungry.
Our only negative which was a shame was that we had on our last night an evening meal and both decided on the Beef Stew which is advertised as "BEEF STEW
SLOW-BRAISED IRISH BEEF WITH CARROTS AND RICH RED WINE GRAVY SERVED WITH MASH £15. This ticked all the boxes for us but OMG it was not really as the description. Over 1/3 of the Beef was inedible as it was fatty/grizzly and not nice to eat. We both left over 1/3 each which was a shame as the mash and gravy itself were superb. On the upside we did see many others who were not having the Beef Stew and the meals they had looked excellent and by the clean plates they must have all enjoyed. Just bad luck on our part.
This hotel is in a prime location and within walking distance of all the main attractions if you enjoy walking. Otherwise you could use buses/taxies etc. We walked to the Titanic Experience and Nomadic visit which took us 30mins. We also walked to the HM Crumlin Road Prison which took us 35-40mins walking. The Botanic Gardens and Belfast Museum are in the opposite direction and will also take about 35-40mins walking. There is a bus No 8 which goes from Donegall Square right to Belfast University which is next to both the Botanic Gardens and Museum.
We had to leave early on our last night as our flight departed at 07:05 and the hotel called a taxi for us from the front desk which arrived in just 5 mins. The trip to the airport took about 12-15mins and cost us £15 with a tip included in that price.
Have a great stay and enjoy the bars and eateries around as we did."
