"Booked one night for a family Monday day trip to see Belfast...never again
Staff went out of their way to be unhelpful, at 1pm in the afternoon the bar were still unopened (we only wanted to use the toilets as we waited for the 3pm check in..). The room itself had no console table, nor remote for the TV and only had 2 towels and 2 glasses for 3 ,people, had to go and lift them myself along vwith another pillow to replace mould growing in the original one ...not a great start.
Later we had 2 non alcoholic 'cocktails' ...I use the word cocktail loosely as it was syrup, a splash of lemonaid in a cheap plastic glass and 3 frozen raspberries from Iceland lashed on top for 8 quid. Entertainment for the next hour included watching the staff turn.people away from the dining area as it was 'to capacity' - only 4 people were eating for the time we sat in the bar.
Nights sleep was poor due to the closeness to the busy road and the decrepit windows and frames, I would have brought it up at checkout if anyone has bothered asked me, but if course they didn't, which brings me to the icing on the cake - checking out at 11am we asked if our small holdalls could be held for a few hours so we could go for breakfast and enjoy a few shops, again. helpful as ever the staff said no, that again they were 'over capacity'.
All in, avoid like the plague, spend your cash on a proper hotel if you are visiting Belfast."
