"The staff at this hotel are lovely and the location is very central. The rest is not great - right next to a very noisy nightclub; rooms are small, stuffy and grubby; the food in the "restaurant" is very basic pre-packed stuff heated up by the receptionist."

"Where do I start ..myself and my son stayed here on Saturday 12th sept … we got in about 7.30 pm was travelling all day to football games etc anyways got there checked in got to the room to discover it was a disabled room room 705 the smell was like an open sewer….. I thought maybe someone went the toilet before we got there…..so we lie down because we were so tired woke up about midnight the smell was still there at that point just went to sleep the next morning. I got up to go to the toilet. The smell was even worse when I opened the door in this disabled room which I don’t understand why we got this room…the light fixture in the bathroom was broke with some of the glass gone anyone could cut there finger on it the back of the sliding glass door was all rust and filthy I have loads of pictures …… the smell was over powering…….. when down to the lobby there was a queue for reception so when to have breakfast which wasn’t ideal either and still a queue there for £195 for one night was a bit over the top for what we got ………. I would never stay there again ……….."

"Some aspects of this hotel were really good. However I had an issue with the room where the climate control system was not working properly. This was during the hottest period of the year with temperatures of about 33 degrees C. This was reported to management. After one day the power to the room was completely lost and water was leaking into the mains consumer unit. There were no spare rooms available to be used, however one room was available but had no working climate control at all. I had no choice but to accept this room. Subsequently having written several letters of complaint, I have only received letters of acknowledgement. Absolutely nothing has come from the Ibis Manchester management and it is now over 2 months since my initial complaint. So if you have an issue with Ibis Manchester, it appears you are completely on your own."
