The Egerton House

"I loved this boutique hotel. The staff, the tea/bar room and my room. Great location, great price and they were so helpful"

"We have always had superlative experiences at the Egerton House, and our stay in October 2026 was no different. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and welcoming - from the front of house to the maid service. The rooms are lovely and the hotel is well located for access to Tube and bus lines; the leafy neighborhood is a wonderful place to stay. Don't miss the martini."

"Our stay at The Egerton House Hotel was not simply a stay in London. It became part of a very important chapter in our lives, one that we know we shall remember for many years to come. We arrived at a particularly meaningful moment for us: a time of celebration, as we marked our graduation and received our diplomas, and, at the very same time, a time of beginning again, as we were moving into our new home. There was excitement, happiness and anticipation, but also the inevitable multitude of small questions and practical uncertainties that accompany such moments of transition. And somehow, in the midst of all of this, The Egerton House became our quiet refuge. The kindness of the team went far beyond what one might ordinarily expect from a hotel. We had an unusually large amount of luggage with us, numerous parcels arriving, and countless little matters to arrange. The staff received everything with such patience and grace, helping us with our belongings, accepting our deliveries and gently guiding us through all the practical details that seemed to accumulate around us. Not once did we feel that our questions were inconvenient. Every request was received with the same warmth, discretion and effortless courtesy. There is something deeply beautiful about this kind of hospitality, when service ceases to feel like a service at all, and instead feels like being quietly looked after. From the moment we entered The Egerton House, we felt that we had encountered a very particular England: an England of beautiful manners, understated elegance, gracious conversation and a kind of warmth that does not need to announce itself. It is found in the smallest gestures, in the way a door is opened, a question is answered, a parcel is received, or a guest is made to feel that nothing is too much trouble. Our room was intimate and wonderfully cosy. It may be modest in size compared with many contemporary hotel rooms, but its charm lies precisely in this intimacy. Every corner seemed to have been considered; every detail had a sense of purpose and tenderness. Rather than feeling like a room designed simply to accommodate a guest, it felt like a little English interior with a soul, somewhere one could retreat from the noise of London and simply breathe. And then there was the staff. Their impeccable manners and quiet attentiveness were perhaps what touched us most deeply. There was no theatricality to the service, no unnecessary formality, only an extraordinary understanding of hospitality as an art of noticing. They seemed to understand that sometimes the most meaningful kindness is the one that is offered before it is even requested. For us, this made our stay profoundly personal. We were celebrating the closing of one chapter of our lives while quietly beginning another. Between the diploma, the emotions of graduation, the excitement of moving into our new home and all the practical details that came with it, The Egerton House gave us something we did not know we needed: a sense of calm, familiarity and belonging. Perhaps this is what makes certain places unforgettable. Not their grandeur alone, nor their beauty, nor even their comfort, but the feeling they leave behind. The Egerton House will forever be associated in our minds with this beautiful moment of transition: with London, with England, with celebration, with new beginnings, and with the feeling of being cared for when life itself was changing around us. We left not merely grateful, but genuinely touched. Some hotels give you a beautiful room. Some give you impeccable service. And a very rare few give you a memory. The Egerton House gave us one we shall treasure."
