"Great location and lovely building. Room great though compact. Quality fittings and furnishings. Bed very comfortable. Staff welcoming. Quiet too - no air con or bathroom expelair to keep awake as cheaper hotels have. What stops 5* is they are not really geared up for food. No nibbles in bar at night. Breakfast was rather chaotic. Decaf coffee run out, one couple had to go fetch drinks. Croissant served with no butter or jam. Porridge was Luke warm and then billed me for breakfast despite included in rate ( refunded). So overall impression great to stay but not to eat."

"I stayed here for three nights in october for work. Locationwise this is about as good as it gets. Located on a quiet couryard 3 min from Liverpool st station. The room I had was very small but well planned. The small size of the room felt compensated with large windows with lots of natural light. All the materials and colors in the room felt very warm, well considered and well designed. The room itself was very clean and the bed comfortable. The service of the staff was perhaps a bit divided. Some staff felt very service minded and personal. While some staff felt bored and impersonal. There is some room for improvement here. Also, I was not aware beforehand of a deposit of 100£ per night, on top of the cost of the room. If one stays for more than two nights, this mounts to quite a hefty sum. As this is not a budget hotel to begin with, I think this deposition is a bit over the top. Overall: 7/10. Stylish and clean but room for improvements."

"Great location, near Shoreditch. Staff were very friendly and catered to an early check in. We had drinks at the bar- delicious. Rooms were lovely and well decorated. Very clean also."
