Ruby Zoe Hotel London

"We stayed here in September 2026 and were awoken by a loud horn noise around 12am. After discussion with the staff, it appears the hotel has been having issues with their plumbing which results in a loud squeal that can be heard in many rooms and even down the hallway. We followed up with the hotel management who were aware of this "large and complex issue" their words, but at no time did hotel staff warn us. I'm actually perplexed by this. It's extremely loud, wakes guest, is persistent, and spans several floors and rooms . Fortunately, we were able to switch rooms and after several changes, found some peace and quiet. I would call the hotel if you're planning to stay to see if it's resolved, otherwise, find somewhere else. It's a pity, because it is a nice place and convenient to the tube and the breakfast is nice. Staff are nice depending on which one you get (like Jan - he's the best)."

"Very good location if visiting this part of London, 5 minute walk from Notting Hill tube. Comfortable, basic room, compact as you would expect in London. Surprisingly quiet, considering location beside a main road. Clean and tidy, great soaps. Surprised that there were no in-room drinks options. Took us a while to work out there was a galley on the same floor with a good range of drinks. We actually bought a bottle of water before finding out- no signage in room to tell you! Personally, I prefer in-room options. Biggest drawbacks, no quiet space to do work- piped music everywhere downstairs. In addition, there was a private event on when we stayed. No prior notice of this when booking and guests were restricted where they could go and the staff attention was fully on that. For me, not worth the premium you pay over other IHG hotels."

"I stayed at Ruby Zoe as a solo traveller. It is a trendy hotel in a good London location and, at first glance, it looks the part. The design is modern and stylish, although my room was actually fairly basic. The huge Marshall speakers were a slightly odd touch and, combined with the hardwood floors, the room felt more cold and sterile than comfortable. The bar was also distinctly average. It looked good enough, but the beer quality was poor and overall it didn’t live up to the image the hotel is trying to create. The biggest issue, however, was the sleep quality. Throughout the night there was a persistent mechanical screeching noise coming from a raised cupboard or service area outside my room. It made getting any proper sleep virtually impossible, which rather defeats the point of staying in a hotel. When I checked out, I asked to speak to a manager and was told there wasn’t one available. I was given an email address and asked to contact them instead. I did exactly that and received no response at all. At around £300 for the night, the whole experience was incredibly disappointing. Stylish branding only gets you so far. For the money, I would genuinely have had a better night’s sleep at a Premier Inn."
