Park Grand Paddington Court Hotel

"Great location, facility and very helpful staff. I chose this hotel because of its location and the price. As a solo traveller the room was ideal for my needs, and I slept well through the night. Cleanliness was perfect but initially I did find keeping the room electric on was a bit fiddly. I put this down to my early arrival (before 3pm) and my own failings. I had no other problems later on. Breakfast was a busy affair. There are many more rooms than one imagines so at breakfast it’s inevitable that there will be quite a few people. I waited less than 10 minutes to be seated. The food was well prepared and had the full range of cooked and continental options. It certainly set me up for the whole day. I would have no hesitation in considering this hotel if and when I visit London again, and I would certainly recommend it. The staff, although busy were really on the money and were very helpful."

"What a disappointment. First of all a real positive is the location. 5 minutes walk from Paddington station/Lancaster Gate tube. Nice area with some great restaurants. That's where it ends sadly. Arrived for check in. Friendly staff, got key for room. Room was located in separate building over the road which we didn't expect. Unpacked, put the kettle on before heading out but didnt work, we then discovered all sockets were not working. My husband then discovered after taking shoes of an area of the carpet near windows soaking wet. Not sure of cause of this. Went over road to reception to ask for another room. We then went to another room in another building. This was fine although room was tired and a big stain in bathroom ceiling showing some evidence of a leak. We went out and came back to retire to bed. Mattess OK but a bit chilly in room. The glass door for bedroom let's in a lot of light from the emergency light in hall so didnt get much sleep, also close to the front door so lots of banging as people come in. Not much soundproofing from the other rooms too. Shower next morning and there was signs of water bubbling through ceiling. Reported to reception on check out. Breakfast ok, but expensive for what it was. Very busy and a small room too for the number of guests. All in all, disappointed and overpriced. Needs a lot of work."

"Considering this is a 4 star hotel I booked this hotel due to its convenient location to a prestigious gala night black tie with my wife The day started well with an option to upgrade to a double bed from twin beds. The day went from bad to worse we ventured out for some food to return to get ready by having showers and getting ready . There was a sign up stating that there was no hot water , we waited and then spoke with reception who advised they had an issue and will be back on. Well no we still Had no hot water , time was running out I was advised it was back on and still nothing !! The Wife resorted to using moist wife’s to clean herself , I boiled a kettle to fill the sink and the plug didn’t hold water , it was a splash with cold water . I spoke with reception again and said that I would want some kind of refund and would speak in the morning. Well returned around 1.00am and still nothing no hot water . We vacated the premises and was given an email address, I have now emailed twice and they still have not responded to me I think it’s a disgrace that they feel this is acceptable what great customer service"
