"I generally don’t leave reviews for hotels, regardless of experience, but for this one I have to. I would not recommend booking here, believe the bad reviews! The location is great, but the rooms are basically the size of a full/queen sized bed. The bathroom is so small that you had to stand with one foot on the ground and one on the toilet and lean in to be able to close the door. I would probably deal with it if I were traveling alone, but if you’re traveling with someone it doesn’t work.
Then there is the staff. When we got into the room the AC was not working and it was a pretty stuffy day. We asked about it and they said it was broken on the entire 3rd floor and they ordered the part but didn’t know when it would be fixed. Given the temperature (and the fact that they advertise as having AC) this didn’t feel acceptable. The person I was traveling with had a medical condition in which we really needed it so I just asked given the circumstances and since when and if the AC would be fixed was a complete unknown, if we could just have our money back and book a different hotel and that we’d even be willing to eat the first night. The response I got is that the manager would be there at 7:00 the next morning and maybe he would be willing to do something. Despite explaining the situation, there was no empathy, just the same answer. Not to mention, other people had issues with their rooms and they were fully booked, so we’d at least be giving someone a semi-functional room if they let us walk. Fortunately, my credit card company (shoutout Bilt, highly recommend them!) that I booked through helped us out and called someone and was able to get all of our money back and cancel the reservation.
So don’t book here unless you’re traveling alone, don’t have a lot of luggage, and are okay with the AC potentially being out. And if you’re claustrophobic, definitely do not book here."
