Marriott Hotel London Marble Arch

"Had a really poor stay, there was a major billing issue which they charged both me and the travel agent, they then did not speak to us about how to resolve and just refunded my card which had already been paid off causing me issues with expenses. The room was older and had no power plugs next to the bed, just the hospitality circular sockets that don’t work for adapters - considering it’s £430 a night you’d have thought it would not be hard to change the sockets to guest focused charging needs! Also there was a lot of drilling, bad internet, a toilet that didn’t work but worst of all the curtain and metal rail fell on my head, I called to tell the hotel, no asked if I was ok, no one came to the room for hours (despite repeatedly calling) the engineer eventually came and the front office manager said I needed to move… still no one asked if I was ok or if I needed anything. So I had to pack up, move room and did I get an apology letter? No. Did I even get some fruit to say sorry? Nope… literally no care was given. The room service was also terrible - weirdest nachos ever! For the money this place is awful"

"it’s an ok Marriott. There’s not much distinctive or London about it. Room was a little small but fine. Could hear construction noises (they are renovating top floor). Gym is tiny and old. The whole thing clearly hasn’t been updated in a while. The location is ok — not far from many tube and bus options, although the Main Street (Edgware Rd) did feel a little sketchy at night. That being said, the staff was perfectly friendly!"

"Events in the ball room can be heard through the whole hotel and go til 1am. Impossible to sleep when it sounds like the band is in your room"
