"Stupidly booked the wrong night by mistake. Called and explained and asked if they could switch it to the next night and it was like talking to a brick wall. Other hotels will refund you some of the cost and maybe even just switch you if there’s room. There was room - I checked . Was expecting to pay something but this just feels greedy. Was for my son’s first concert at the o2. Won’t book an Ibis again or recommend it and plan to boo everytime I pass by one!"

"This stay initially started of amazing! We was greeted at the front desk by the most welcoming and upbeat happy Curtis & jenna! Having them as a first point of call was a great start to our visit! We came here for abba voyage which may I add is the package hotel for the abba experience! Curtis and jenna went above and beyond and got us excited for concert! However on our return we came to the bar! My Nan was served by a so called manager in a green firetrap jumper (no uniform like everyone else) and charges my nans card 3x for our drinks! When I said she has paid he refused and was adamant we tap again! I asked him to check the system which he refused! (But another colleague did and gave me the receipt! ) ..The manager’duplo’ then threatened us with the police which I said I was happy about as they could check the transactions! I explained to duplo my Nana doesn’t have online banking so can u please check your system he again refused and then proceeded to take our drinks we had a receipt for! All the staff you could see was scared of duplo and just kept there head down! But when I went outside for a smoke one of the staff gave me a card with head office email and apologised for their managers behaviour which was disgraceful! This hotel is included in the abba voyage package! I will be emailing abba. Voyage also to inform them of management’s incompetence as he ruined our evening! My nan went to bed upset we never had a drink or talked about our abba experience due to duplo the manager being so unprofessional and rude! She’s 76 yrs old and has been looking forward to this event since October! To be ruined and threatened with police and eviction because he refused to check the system! Management are trained to de-escalate situations not escalate them! He clearly doesn’t have this! We now have to wait until we travel back home to Manchester to check the bank to see how much he actually changed my Nana and then took the drinks we paid for! I have videos of this and one of the receipts! On my review to abba voyage I will be informing them of the attitude and incompetence of the management here and will be telling them how their partner hotel for the ABBA voyage experience should be reconsidered! Because we will definitely will not recommend to stay here with management that behaves as duplo did! Very unhappy and dissatisfied customer!"

"So impressed with this hotel, the room was clean and comfortable and the communal area downstairs is decorated beautifully. Curtis on the check in desk was outstanding - such a friendly and helpful welcome! The hotel was perfectly situated for a concert we attended the O2 Arena, and being sandwiched between a McDonald’s and Starbucks was a bonus. Exceptional value for money and we will definitely stay again."
