Holiday Inn Express Limehouse

"Newly fitted out ground floor, looks good. BUT NO WATER AND NO APOLOGY. I visited this Holiday Inn Express having used it previously due to convenient location between Canary Wharf and the City suitable for my work needs. As I am planning to be working somewhat more frequently between the two locations I was hoping this will again become my regular overnight hotel. However I arrived on Tuesday, went out for the evening with colleagues, upon return there was no water in the room, a trickle out of the hot tap, and nothing out of the cold tap. Reception were unable to get maintenance till 6am. Upon trying to shower at 06:30 still no water, this is less than ideal as I had to go into work unshowered, also meeting customers. Furthermore there was no offer of bottled water for drinking or brushing teeth - something you would imagine they would just run round all occupied rooms and leave some water by the door so confused guests could at least have a drink, make a tea/coffee etc... The reception were somewhat dismissive and offered no recompense. But later in the day I received an offer for additional IHG points and a refund from the hotel manager by e-mail, which is fair enough, I replied to say I accept abd heard nothing more, there is no refund and no points - I suppose they hope customers won't check or follow up. I have tried to follow up, also no response. So I guess it will be Hilton Group instead, and I will not be recommending the Limehouse location to colleagues or customers as whilst some issues cannot be foreseen - the follow up is where there is an opporunity to demonstrate good customer care."

"Výborný hotel, skvělá lokalita, od hotelu na zastávku Limehouse necelých 10 minut chůze. Vynikající snídaně, skvělý a přátelský personál. Na recepci byli všichni milí, vše vysvětlili, a poradili. Když si člověk zapomene vzít kartáček na zuby, nebo žiletku, stačí se obrátit na recepci, kartáček či žiletku Vám dají. Tento hotel určitě doporučujeme. Děkujeme za skvělý zážitek a za skvělý pobyt, určitě se k Vám rádi vrátíme. Excellent hotel, great location, less than 10 minutes walk from the hotel to Limehouse stop. Excellent breakfast, great and friendly staff. Everyone at the reception was nice, explained everything, and gave advice. If you forget to bring a toothbrush or razor, just go to the reception, they will give you a toothbrush or razor. We definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you for a great experience and a great stay, we will definitely be happy to come back."

"Even though it was a regular hotel breakfast, Adina made us feel as if we were having our breakfast in an upscale place. She was very welcoming, had a nice smile. Thank you for having her there."
