Hilton London Kensington

"Location is no good if you wish to visit central London by Taxi , costs £25/30 to Knightsbridge. The atmosphere is like a 1960s traveller hotel stop over, long narrow corridors. According to the staff ( who were excellent ) the hotel has some 600 rooms! . A lot a guys in their 20/30s hanging around seemingly without purpose. The room had a feeling of being well worn and painted with emulsion , a small television bolted to the wall leaning at a angle Would never stay there even if free."

"The location and the staff is good, especially Laura. But the sound isolation in the rooms is terrible, so it ruins the stay if the guests in the nearby rooms are noisy. The water is too cold in my opinion, it’s almost impossible to take a bath. The atmosphere is a bit “old”, the designs are from 2000-2010. The hotel is pretty clean. In overall, it’s a good hotel if you stay in only for the night, but as someone who likes to stay in the hotel room for a couple hours a day, i wouldn’t recommend this hotel."

"Booked two rooms for a family trip. The hotel is quite easily accessed from Gatwick, train to Clapham Junction and then change to a train that stops at Kensington Olympia overground which is five minutes walk from the hotel...I think from departing Gatwick to walking into the hotel took about an hour . The hotel staff were efficient on check in, they were helpful but methodical rather than friendly. The rooms were fine for the weekend stay, breakfast was very good, with lots of choices..We had dinner there one evening, it was good value. The bar is relatively quiet at night, nice for a pleasant wind down drink. Overall I would stay again."
