Avoca House Hotel

"I had booked this hotel for my son’s 18th birthday as he wanted to go to an event in London. When he arrived he was told the room was not available! He was told to go to another hotel. No phone call or email to notify of this, very poor customer service. The other hotel was £20 more and he was not advised of this by Avoca. I put a complaint in but have heard nothing back. This spoiled his weekend and made him miss the event. All could have been avoided with a simple phone call or email. Very disappointed."

"A very basic hotel in need of refurbishment. Old furniture, you could feel the springs in the bed. Low water pressure in the shower. But warm and cosy, spacious room and friendly staff who served a basic but tasty breakfast. The place has everything you need if you aren't too fussy, and the location is great."

"As a budget hotel, rooms and facilities are really modest and worn, but very well cleaned. The staff is most helpful and nice, thank you for that! Small breakfast gives a good start for the day. Location is excellent, giving easy access to anywhere in London with buses or tube (3 stations nearby) and a lot of services available by foot, but the neighbourhood is quiet and safe (family area). Good choice for a short-term visit or even longer."
