"We visited this weekend for a night and thought it was perfect for what we needed. Great location, clean, quiet, beautiful building. The staff were all lovely, and the room was comfortable. The value for money was ok considering it was a summer Saturday night in London. My only negatives are that the aircon turned off automatically after a little while, so I had to get up in the night more than once to turn it back on, and the shower was really tiny."

"First time staying here, mainly location based due to attending the Wimbledon Championship. Unfortunately we had a disastrous start to the day caused by ‘cows on the rail line’ resulting in a 6+ hr journey from the NW as opposed to less than 2hrs. It’s situated within a beautiful building, on a beautiful street in a very nice area of South Kensington. The staff greeted me warmly as I made a very quick bag drop before heading straight onto the championship. Our room (Nr1) was located within the basement yet the light did come in nice from the street level above, which we only saw briefly due to not actually checking in until after 10:30pm. Room was a good size, high ceiling, and had most things you’d expect probably save for a bath robe. Couple of minor negative points include the tea / coffee facility is kept within a very dimly lit alcove and the small strip light above wasn’t working. (I did report on check out) I also feel that the shower, whilst roomy enough needs a hand held shower head, as the over head rain screen is no good for women who don’t want to get their hair wet or spoil it with a plastic shower cap. I’d also expect a soft close toilet seat, ours slammed down with quite a bang, again small things but when paying close to £300 per night not too much to expect. Bed was extremely large and very comfortable indeed and we both enjoyed a good nights kip. I would stay again if they improved the few things I’ve mentioned"

"Lovely gem of a hotel - clean, renovated, staff very polite and helpful, on a busy street but not noisy. Near a tube and bus station, located in the beautiful Kensington. Lovely bathing products! Whoever complains about the narrow steps or small rooms - it is the price you pay for staying in a beautiful traditional Edwardian townhouse, which is a true London experience itself!"
