"Used to be wonderful now it's far below standard. Heavy metal rock music at high volume in café/ restaurant all afternoon. Burgers and a host of other menu essentials not available. Drinks at the bar area never the same price. Great shame."

"The price of the stay looked reasonable. That was the first mistake. The parking was £11 per night, which wasn't stated clearly when booking. Breakfast was an extra £12. The breakfast was large and busy with a long queue and resembled a factory canteen more than a hotel dining room. Needless to say, we skipped breakfast. The room was awful and was more like a hospital room or one in a nursing home. It was shabbily decorated and in need of a refurb. It even had a door which opened into a boarded up wall! The room is not fit for purpose. I would suggest they use it a storage area, as it is fit for little else. On our frequent trips to Liverpool, we like to try out different hotels and B&Bs. This one is by far the worst. If the owners have got anything about them they will offer a refund."

"Excellent position for numerous experiences that Liverpool has to offer. Opposite the Albert docks for strolling around, dining out, museums and gift shops. Just a short stroll to Liverpool One shops and an easy walk to numerous cafes, bars and the wonderful Grand Museum. The rooms are a good size for a couple, and although a little dated, they are clean and perfectly adequate for a couple of nights in a brilliant city. Most staff were pleasant, some seemed a little fed-up with their jobs, whilst the food available was fresh and piping hot. A decent breakfast, hot and cold choices, and a decent bar too. Would definitely return and recommend to others."
