Novotel Birmingham Centre

"I was appalled by our stay at the Novotel Birmingham. The food in the restaurant was truly horrific/ tasteless/ extortionate. 2 x children’s meals, a plate of nachos, a sandwich and 4 drinks came to just short of £100. The room we stayed in was next to a service lift, was so loud and we didn’t get a wink of sleep due to that and the fact that our bedsheets were so thin we were freezing cold. I wish I had chance to complain in person but nobody was at the desk when we left the following morning. I will not be returning. I’d rather stay at the IBIS because at least you know what you’re getting for your money there."

"Good location, friendly staff , rooms very clean but needs some updates."

"At first, the hotel looked inviting and comfortable. The bed was a reasonable size, the TV was large, and we liked the Rituals toiletries. Breakfast was decent, although I’m not quite sure why we had to ask for fried eggs. Unfortunately, there were a few issues with the room. There was only one towel, and it was very small, so we ended up having to share it. The biggest problem, however, was the noise. The constant beeping from cars outside was absolutely horrendous, and we slept very poorly as a result. There was no soundproofing to speak of, which made it extremely difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Although the location is convenient and the hotel initially seemed promising, I would not recommend staying here if you value a peaceful night’s sleep."
