Francis Hotel Bath - MGallery

"We chose this hotel to stay in and celebrate our anniversary with a trip to bath. Parking was available behind the hotel, which made our arrival convenient and the check in was efficient. The room was on the first floor and did not have the best view but it was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was as expected and the water quality was very good. The door staff were friendly, professional and informative. I would recommend you ask them the best way to see the city as they have knowledge and experience which they are happy to share. We followed their suggested route to The Royal Crescent and this gave us a more scenic experience of the city and its architectural features. We stayed for two nights and enjoyed exploring the city on foot. The ladies on reception were very approachable, friendly and professional. On the final morning the reception staff had arranged a few lovely touches to help us to celebrate our anniversary and help make this a memorable occasion. Complementary drink, card and flowers were brought to our room and at breakfast the staff were very attentive and had set a table with flowers and a small gift. A big thank you to Olivia Jones for coordinating this. Breakfast was a high standard with plenty of options available. We did not have any other meals at the hotel but it appeared very busy in the evenings. The building is beautiful in a central location in the beautiful city of bath. The park opposite was looking scorched this time of year but was still being enjoyed by locals playing boules."

"Me and my mum stayed here recently, we've stayed a few times before and have always enjoyed it. We came to try the Spa - which was great. The staff there were brilliant and the whole experience was wonderful. We were in a Cosy Twin room which felt spacious, although the bathroom door was quite close to one of the beds. The decoration is top tier and fits in with the hotel. We did have afternoon tea which was lovely but the cakes were similar i.e. in colour and texture which just made it look a bit plain. It all tasted very nice and the service was very good. We would recommend this hotel as we've always enjoyed our stays here. It can be a bit pricy but you do get a good location, the hotel is clean, rooms are decorated tastefully and the staff are friendly and helpful. Overall this is definitely worth staying at. "

"I had a very good experience here. The room was pretty , quiet with everything I required. The reception staff were excellent , very polite & helpful. I had a problem with the first room , but it was no trouble for the lovely young lady on reception to move me from 332 to 324. Thank you for your help . I usually stay in another hotel when in Bath , but the Francis just changed my mind , I’ll be back . Thank you for making a solo traveler so welcome . Don’t miss the excellent restaurant Emberwood . Fabulous."
