Premier Inn Jersey St Helier Bath Street

"The hotel was spotlessly clean, good sized room with bath & shower (with good quality towels) and reasonably well located - less than a 15 minute walk to the bus station. However, the lack of staff, mediocre breakfast and fact that you have to specifically request room cleaning made it feel a bit cheap and basic....which would have been more acceptable if rooms were cheap which they weren't - certainly not in mid August! They obviously want you to do self check-in but as we had paid for early check in for one of our rooms, we thought we needed to do an in person one. We had to ring the bell 3 times before someone came. Similarly at breakfast, you're instructed to wait to be seated but no-one comes near you. Eventually we went to the till to pay (as we had a bus to catch at a certain time) expecting to be seated from there but when the two staff members finished chatting with the people in front, they ignored us and walked off. No acknowledgement, no "we'll be right back", just totally ignored. We then went to see our friends who were aleady halfway through breakfast and very quickly the two staff came running over obviously scared we were trying to eat without paying. A number of items weren't available at breakfast which was disappointing. As we left other people were waiting at the sign & again, no staff around to look after them. Needless to stay we went to a cafe for breakfast the next day."

"stayed in premier inn bath street, caught bus from the airport to terminal in St helier, arrived at premier inn greeted my Emily, really nice young lady, nothing to much. room on second floor, very clean room, standard layout for premier inn. windows sealed shut so no fresh air. room had air-conditioning. had breakfast, chef was asked for poached eggs with gluten free bread, chef very polite and told us a few minutes too cook. only had one evening meal, because of the weather, we was looked after by Michael, again very polite and the meal was lovely. would we book there again YES."

"Premier Inn Bath Street has a great location, nice public areas and very good rooms. Housekeeping is doing a great job as rooms are very clean, breakfast also nice. What is lacking is customer service. Staff presence is minimal and focus on customers could be improved. Despite of that, we had a very nice stay."
