"We were a party of four, all in our 20s/30s, who stayed at Tuntas for 10 days from the end of August to mid-September. People have made comments in the past about things like the hotel's decor, the cleanliness of the rooms and wider hotel, the WiFi, and the air conditioning, so I want to address these directly because they were major worries for us when we booked the holiday and then saw the reviews.
The air conditioning is something that you have to pay separately. It was 6 Euros per day. We weren't a fan of the fact we had to pay separately, and I hope that management perhaps factor the use of air con into their pricing because in a country like Turkey, it's obviously necessary. We paid it regardless as a lump sum. Not the best start.
The air con is in the living room part of the suite. I promise you, this is not a problem. Keep the air conditioning on and you will 100% not tell a difference, you are very cool all night as you sleep.
The staff are an absolute credit to this hotel, they are all absolutely brilliant at their jobs and are friendly, good people. They are one of the main reasons that I would recommend Tuntas Kusadasi to anybody.
The food is genuinely really, really good quality. When you book the Full Board / All Inclusive option, you get a starter (usually a soup, served along with bread, and entree plates of various delicious fresh relishes, yogurt, and stuffed vine leaves which are all delicious and homemade), and then an option of two main courses, and a dessert. People complain about the lack of choice - don't pay too much attention, the quality of the food makes up for it ten-fold. You can buy snacks at the bar throughout the day also, which is both very cheap compared with the prices locally, and is fresh, delicious, and served right to your sunbed by the brilliant staff!
The breakfast is continental with the addition of scrambled eggs and slices of Turkish-style sausage (different to English-style). Full English Breakfasts are available at a very cheap price (literally about 300 Lira or something (approx. £5-ish)) which was a nice breakfast (with English sausage and bacon!).
Migros (which is like the Turkish Tesco) is about a 10-min walk at the bottom of Ladies Beach.
Daniel is the fella who offers entertainment, both throughout the day in the pool, and in the evening around the pool (or in the pool when he does his weekly evening pool parties). He is an awesome dude who deserves recognition too!
The hotel is in a good location. BTW - the rooms with a pool view are actually a sea view too if you turn your head to the left, so don't worry about missing out on the gorgeous views of the Gulf of Kusadasi.
The rooms are of a dated decor. They are, however, very clean. Unless you're uptight, you won't care about the aesthetics of the kitchen cabinets.
Ladies beach (which I'd say is the best beach in Kusadasi) is about a 5 minute walk away. There is a hill, yes, but not one that is problematic if you're in your 20s/30s as we are. In other words, unless you're geriatric you'll be fine. Take plenty of water if you're hungover and trying to scale the thing at 1pm.
Hope this helps!"
