Central resort with a stunning outlook

With its white walls, cotton candy-coloured balconies and surrounding greenery, Hotel Aqua serves up some seriously good looks. And the views are just as impressive. The property is right on the beach in Icmeler, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and a series of pine-cloaked peaks. 

Most of the action here centres on the pool. It’s lake-sized and set in a sunny terrace peppered with palm trees. And did we mention it's heated in the cooler months? When you’re not chilling out there’s activities like waterpolo and aerobics on the agenda, and little ones can have off to the kids’ club to make friends. Peckish throughout the day? Head for the beachfront Sunset Bar for ice-cream and waffles, or the Palm Garden Bar for light bites like sandwiches and kebabs.

Speaking of food, you’re just five minutes’ walk from the many restaurants in the town centre, but you’ve also got a great selection at the resort. The main buffet eatery features international dishes, show cooking and regular themed nights, while a pair of à la carte restaurants deal in Turkish and Mediterranean dishes. 
 
The resort’s cluster of bars specialise in after-dinner cocktails with a soundtrack. There’s a dazzling evening entertainment programme, as well, which ticks off shows, live music acts and Turkish parties.

Just so you know, the outdoor pool is usually heated from March to May, and October to November, but this may vary depending on weather conditions.

Fringing the south end of Marmaris Bay, Icmeler looks out to the deep blue Mediterranean, while the Aegean lies behind dramatic mountains that loom over the town. Icmeler’s pretty beach is surrounded by pine forests, which are criss-crossed by walking trails that ascend up steep slopes. Roughly dividing the Mediterranean from the Aegean, these stretches of land are wonderful places where holidaymakers will find secluded beaches, wild coves and fishing villages with bougainvillea-draped lanes.
