Grand Aquarium

"We went for our honeymoon however the first room we were given was tiny not at all what we were expecting. However the staff did make the bedroom pretty with towels on the bed and petals and bottle of wine. Just too cramped and we had to upgrade for 250.00 more. We had our son with us who has autism so more space was needed. Rooms were spotless. Cleaned every day and staff were friendly, however we were disapointed by some of the lies we were given. Spoilt the honeymoon tbh. We had to pay for aircon the spa bath too that long to fill it was nearly cold by time you got in, used it more to wash clothes in. We moved to an annex in other building overlooking the quieter pool this was far nicer however as we were self catering it was very hard to actually make a hot dinner no oven, no toaster, only a microwave and 2 ring hob and a kettle and fridge. Very disapointing. Beds were ok but we needed extra sheets as blankets were rough on the skin. No iron or board again u had to use paid laundry service. Tv in room but only 3/4 english channels. Round pool there was lots of beautiful cats and kittens however sometimes it was very noisy and did smell of urine. The pool was always freezing and chemicals were added to pool every night but never saw them test the water. If u wanted a drink from bar you had to go over to main site. No bar open in quiet area. Not alot of sun beds but thankfully hotel was quiet so no panic for a bed. Taxis were on hand however could rip u off. We hired scooter 10.00 a day and a wifi box from guy called jesus lovely bloke look him up on ichmeler sites or fb. Just approx 15 min walk into town or 5 mins on scooter. Situated in old town. Resturant food at hotel was lovely however we ate out in various places on our visit. Tommys bar near the hotel was good value and great steaks. No lifts in hotel all stairs to all floors and rooms. Decor dated and needs updating in food and bar area. Slide was only open at select times poor. You have to purchase a food card and add money onto account. To buy food and drinks . Onsite very small shop not alot in it. A jewellery shop. However better in town. Hairdressers, spa and games area but not used. Entertainment was there but to be honest poor. The staff were lovely but again better bars and shows in town or in marmaris. Overall its an ok but we won't be returning to the Grand Aquarium . Very Budget basic."

"The apartments at Grand Aquarium are wonderful. Lovely and clean, great decor, comfy beds and pillows and extra blankets and pillows in your wardrobe if needed. I stayed in the Annex building which had its own private pool area away from the main building which was a lot quieter. There is everything you need for a self catering holiday, cooking hob, microwave, kettle but no toaster for some reason?, fridge and great shower in the bathroom with plenty of hot water. I only stayed as a base to lay my head but became ill on the 3rd day with Covid Symptoms so staying in for a few days. There was a tv with music channels and BBC News and 2 English movie channels so i had a bit of entertainment while i was poorly. The staff on reception are wonderful and the WIFI is quite good. Its quite a way out from the main hub of Icmeler but the dolmus bus runs every few minutes just up the road outside Tommys bar and there is also a taxi rank at the Aquarium as well which is very handy. It was 400 TL into all the action in Icemeler which is about £5.00 in sterling."

"Just come back from a lovely stay, the rooms are lovely they are cleaned every day. The pool area was nice a clean, the staff was great . It was about a 20 minute walk to the town centre and about £5 in a taxi. I would recommend this place"
