Dilhan Hotel

"Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing and left us feeling uncomfortable and unsafe. There were multiple issues with our room, including visible damage, a balcony door that would not lock properly and a bathroom door that would not close. There was also an opening/vent in the shower area through which you could see through to a staircase, which raised serious concerns for us regarding privacy. On one occasion, we requested toilet paper and were told no. The overall atmosphere was incredibly unwelcoming and unfriendly, and we never felt like valued guests. We raised our concerns with various members of staff and management during our stay and attempted to get the issues resolved. Towards the end of our stay, we were offered a room change, but unfortunately the way this was handled felt passive-aggressive rather than like a genuine attempt to help us. By this point, we had already lost confidence in the hotel. We were staying on a bed and breakfast basis, but because of how uncomfortable we felt, we wanted to spend as much time outside of the hotel as possible. Thankfully, we were able to do that and essentially used the hotel only as somewhere to sleep. What is particularly disappointing is that when our concerns were subsequently raised, the hotel’s response did not accurately reflect our experience. We were told that staff had found no issues with the room or the damage we had reported, despite us having photographs of some of the problems. The fact that staff could not replicate an issue at the time does not mean that it did not happen. This was not a case of expecting a perfect or luxury hotel. We expected basic standards of safety, privacy, cleanliness, hospitality and customer service. Unfortunately, those expectations were not met. I would strongly encourage anyone considering staying here to read recent reviews carefully and make their own decision. Based on our experience, we would not return."

"Start with the good points............ Ozzy the bar man, great guy. Gave us a lovely welcome... good location for restaurants, beach and shopping. Bad points....... tiny room, not big enough for 2 people. .... Tiny dirty, smelly bathroom, shower door missing so everywhere got soaked..... sun ony touched a few sunbeds at all 85% in the shade all day long. So if you were not up before 7am you had no chance of getting a good sunbed....... Free breakfast so bad we only tried it once..... in the evening, don't think of sitting on a quiet balcony, oh no, the bar around the corner is deafening until the early hours.... Tv does not work...if you want to pay by card it's an extra 10% put on top of your bill..... we ordered an English cooked breakfast and what arrived was lettuce, grilled green peppers, salami, tomato 2 eggs and 2 toast. Not what was advertised on the menu... not the cleanest hotel and the entire place smelt of damp and mold. Would not return or recommend"
