"My family and I stayed here in mid-October, and the experience was extremely disappointing. We all became ill during our stay, including my one-year-old baby, and ended up missing several days of our holiday because of it. After seeing the hygiene standards, I’m sadly not surprised. I witnessed a chef handling food without gloves, and the toilets by the beach were covered in dried faeces for several days — only cleaned after I complained to reception.
After my family were sick in the toilets, our rooms smelled strongly of vomit the next day, which made me question whether the toilets were ever properly bleached or disinfected.
The food in the main buffet was very basic and far from 5-star quality. The restaurant layout is poorly designed, with the food at one end, seating at the other, and the bar in the middle. As a family with small children, we had to take turns getting food, and by the time I returned to my seat, others had already finished eating. Many tables lacked cutlery, coffee cups were unavailable at breakfast (we had to use paper ones), and we had to fetch our own drinks every day except the last. Overall, it was not an enjoyable dining experience.
Food labels were missing from sauces and yogurts, and I even saw a fly floating in a salad dressing that had just been put out for dinner.
Most staff were polite and tried their best, but a few were quite rude. When I asked for water for my child, one staff member didn’t understand English and called over a colleague who abruptly shouted, “What’s your problem?” — an incredibly unprofessional response.
The food at the beach bar was better than in the main restaurant, but it often ran out. On one occasion, the shutter was closed an hour before lunch ended, just as I arrived. The bars frequently ran out of drinks too — no tequila, vodka, or rum by the afternoon — only gin left. One day, they even ran out of water at the beach, forcing me to walk back to the hotel to get some for my children.
The pool area was also poorly designed, with limited shaded areas and overcrowded seating, making it difficult to relax as a family.
The overall atmosphere wasn’t pleasant either. Several guests were quite rude, and one man even pushed me aside at the bar to demand vodka. The staff witnessed this and still served him first, which left me feeling disrespected and ignored.
Overall, this hotel was a major disappointment. Poor hygiene, disorganisation, and a lack of basic cleanliness and service standards turned what should have been a relaxing family holiday into a stressful and unpleasant experience. I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel until serious improvements are made."
