Voyage Sorgun

"We have just returned from our third trip to Voyage and were not disappointed. From arrival to departure staff cannot do enough. They are great with kids, adults, every department, just always willing to serve. When you arrive, you get access to a wattsapp assistant, that assistant is available all day every day right up to midnight. Whether you need towels, or pillows or the mini bar (although it will have already been done during the day), we experienced torrential rain, and they brought umbrellas to our room. They booked out a la carte restaurants, every night, they booked taxis to Side town, they are just great! All the restaurants are really good; the food is good quality and caters for all tastes. The steak restaurant is just superb, the Turkish also, I absolutely loved the Italian, the Greek was probably my least favourite, but the food was still of excellent quality. There is also Teppanyaki, which over all three visits we didn’t try, but the Chinese was great, especially the crispy duck! The main restaurant is well equipped, due to bad weather all a la carte restaurants were closed one night, and although extremely busy the main restaurant managed to cater for everyone. Breakfast is my favourite time of the day and I would question anyone who says they could not find suitable food to eat. The pools again cater for everyone, adults only, quiet pool, activity pool, main pool and water slide pool! My kids (12 & 11) love them all, obviously didn’t try the adults only pool, but it always looked a bit too quiet for us! The kids (& adults) absolutely love the water slides, cannot fault them. There are life guards at each level and at the bottom. The sunbathing areas were large enough for everyone, with plenty of beds and towels could be obtained as and when throughout the day. It is a shame that people reserve beds, because there really is no need. There is some taking of reserved beds, which I saw on 2 separate occasions, and at one point did get quite heated. The gym is well equipped and does get used, I went early morning and was always someone in, but not too full. I did go past one afternoon, and it was very busy. The spa is excellent, I had a full body massage, and it was so relaxing and well worth the money. The spa facilities, sauna and Turkish baths are also so good, and need to be experienced. A significant plus point of this hotel is that all branded spirits are included in All Inc, and every drink is served in a glass, no plastic glasses, most cocktails can be adapted for a non-alcoholic version, which is also great! I have recently read a review that says the lounge area is very busy in the evening, and it is, but we always found a seat, and there was 15 in our party. The service is swift and again the staff are simply lovely, remembering your drinks night after night. The evening entertainment wasn’t really to my taste, and it gets very busy, you have to go and experience it, but my preference was sat on the terrace or in the bar / lounge. The overall grounds are well kept and very clean, overall this is a lovely hotel, and well worth a holiday there!"

"The Voyage sorgun is a fantastic hotel. Check in is seamless, with champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries on arrival. We were shown straight to our room which was Beautiful, with mini bar, separate shower and wc, and his and hers sinks. The bed was massive and super comfortable, and everything was spotless. There was a towel change service in the morning and also evening should you require it. ( the two ladies who changed our towels, made sure we got a little chocolate on out pillow each night, they were Gorgeously kind) The grounds of the hotel are stunning, and so we'll looked after by the ground staff. The food and drinks are amazing, with every brand you could think of, if you can't see what you want,then just ask, the bar staff will do their very best to accommodate you. Erkan in the reception bar,( he is so friendly and super kind) made us Sangria, which was so tasty, he and all the staff In the restaurants and Bars are so Lovely, they will go above an beyond to make the guests happy. The themed restaurants are also brilliant, and such good value for money. I would like to give a massive thankyou to Jiska (Customer relations Manager) she was so lovely, both her and her staff are incredible, Jiska goes the extra Mile to make sure all the guests have a great time, she is the ultimate professional. Thank you Jiska for all your help. Overall the Voyage sorgun is probably the best hotel I've stayed in Turkey, and I can't wait for my next visit. "There are a lot of positives but negatives to Accommodation We had a family bungalow nicely located and quiet but not much storage space and only one toilet etc so ok but perhaps for almost 4 adults a little small . Fridge in room not that cold and not inviting to grab drinks etc, two tv English channels the news one stuck on the same screen all week ! Overall it was comfortable though and for a week was fine . It was cleaned every day so all very good and beds were good and comfortable. Food The buffet main restaurant was good to be fair plenty of choice and every night a theme night and overall very pleasant as you would epect. Breakfast omelettes very good as well and fruit plentiful so all very good . The day food beach bars plenty of choice and the buffet as well so this was good. All easy on the app to Chocolate and cake shop were also good and again not too busy and chocolates were tasty. Services all around was good in this area to be fair plenty of staff around and helpful . Negatives However do avoid the Al La carte options as not good at all . We decided we needed a change from the buffet which we all know can be tedious. The Chinese we tried but was just no different than a the buffet except the duck Yes I know Chinese in Turkey but you still feel it’s special as they charge . However worse to come was the Japanese. Silly Low seats like you were a child ,starters that were in the standard buffet served by raw fish ,followed by vegetables with the broccoli cooked before and mushy then cooked again ! Tough and chewy cheap steak and thigh chicken with even more chewy king prawns were cooked in front of you by a happy chef who did his best to entertain you ! It was not good for the extra money and very poor. Grounds Pools and grounds all very good No issue re sun chairs plenty of them Tennis courts are very lumpy and need re surface and bring your own rackets and balls or be charged even for the balls Gym was also fine as well as indoor area Games room looked tired and two table tennis tables under a tree with broken rackets and netting that doesn’t stop the ball ! Dress attire It’s all very casual which is fine but I believe when eating in the main lounge or bar area clothes specifically tops should be worn nothing worse than seeing sights which are not pleasant to the eye while eating ! Staff Always good and around no issue there at all and friendly Overall, not bad but not 5 star at all more 4 star"
