"We've just returned from a glorious week at the Paloma Perissia. The place is amazing and we will almost certainly be going back. The service is excellent and the staff are just the right level of attentive and make every effort to remember your choices and to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The dining choices cater for every need and in addition to the main restaurant there are 3 a la carte restaurants, snack options and a patisserie/gelateria. There are a variety of pools to suit all ages, an indoor pool and a spacious beach if sea-swimming is your preference."

"We have just returned from a 10 day holiday here with our two boys, aged 12 and 7. Before I break down the pros and cons I have to say there were 2 staff members here who were exceptional and took our holiday experience to another level. Murat (pool waiter) was AMAZING! He spent all day doing laps round the pool and taking drink orders. He did 30k steps a day, what a guy! So friendly to talk to and a good laugh, we loved him and miss him a lot! Even when we were over playing darts and weren't at our seats he would bring us drinks he knew we loved! 5* service from him, that guy is a legend! The second guy was Ugur who was part of animation team. He did the darts games every day and was around every evening for the entertainment to talk to people etc. He had such a great sense of humour, always had us laughing and just a genuinely nice bloke! Both these guys were amazing and in a different league to the rest of the staff! Pros - Hotel was beautiful. Particularly outdoors, the pool area was stunning and the beach was also so beautiful. It was so nice to sit on the beach in the morning with a coffee and listen to the waves. The sea was really warm. There are some rocky parts when you first go in but a few yards in and the floor is mostly sandy. The pool area had ample loungers and you didn't have to reserve loungers early which I think was more because its October and not peak season. The service from staff at the pool bar was fantastic. Areas all kept clean and tidy. The hotel inside was nicely furnished and very clean. The al a carte restaurants are a must do, they were incredible! The Mediterranean and oriental ones are included and the steak one includes a surcharge but wow its worth it. You just pay for the steaks, all the drinks and sides are included. The steaks were amazing and huge! The location is great, if you walk out of the back of the hotel along the beach front there is a path all the way to Side where you will find restaurants, shops and some ancient ruins which are beautiful and free to check out. It took about an hour to walk to side that way but worth it. The drink selections at the hotel were great and they used branded spirits which you don't usually see in all inclusive. The room, whilst quite basic was comfortable and clean. We had a stunning view of both the pool and the sea as we paid a bit more for a sea view. The food in the pool bistro bar was really nice offering a decent selection, the short beef rib baguette was delicious! Hamburgers also delicious. There was a lady making flat breads with a choice of chocolate, cheese or mince which were amazing! Great mid afternoon snack or mid morning! The entertainment was mostly really good. The Michael Jackson show was fantastic and some live bands were good but others not our cup of tea. They tried to offer variety though so aimed it at every age group which I think is fair enough and it was nice to have an earlier night to be honest on occasions where the music wasn't to our taste. The waterpark was really good and worth a visit as its free and only a 20 minute coach ride to. Cons - With the exception of the two staff mentioned already, the service in the main buffet restaurant was shocking. They rarely took a drinks order and if you needed cutlery etc you had to go on a mission for it yourself. They were also very miserable overall. The odd one would occasionally crack a smile but generally they made you feel unwelcome. It was 1 or 2* star service at best here. The food selection was also not as great as we have experienced elsewhere, the same food was served most days. There wasn't really any themes to shake it up a bit and the food was sometimes not the hottest. They did do plain and simple food for kids like pasta, pizza, chicken nuggets which was good but they would benefit from setting this up on a kids food station where it is easier for kids to access it. The air con in the room was rubbish. I dont know how anyone would cope here in summer as I struggled to sleep in octver when temperatures at night went down to about 17 or 18. The pingo pong table was falling apart, this needs replacing. Overall the holiday was great and I would recommend it for sure. I think the pros outweigh the cons. I would probably have given it 4.5* but couldn't so it lost a star due to the very few cons."
