Selene Beach & Spa Hotel

"We are now sitting here before departure, waiting for our bus. The hotel is closing today, but I want to emphasize that we had a wonderful time at Selene Hotel. During our month-long stay in Turkey, we visited several hotels, but the most memorable one was here at Selene. Huge advantages of the hotel: Calm, quiet atmosphere for relaxation — no children, no noisy groups; mostly couples and small groups. People sit on the terrace, laugh, drink wine — I would say they relax beautifully. The pool area is convenient, with bars everywhere and places for snacks. By the way, the most delicious gözleme I had was right here. I liked the platforms on the beach — I don’t like sand, and I enjoyed spending time there. The hotel café is a gem — delicious coffee and a variety of desserts. Usually, Turkish desserts are just colorful sweets, but here we had San Sebastián cake, fruit tarts, and more. There’s also iced coffee. The design is beautiful — the pink wood left an impression. We had a sea-view room — very bright, sunny, and clean. Daily housekeeping. Pillows, blankets, and linen are all of good quality. It would be unfair not to mention a few drawbacks: Cold pools and shower water. If at least the shower water were warm, it would allow you to warm up after swimming. Paid spa. This was our first experience with a spa that required payment. Dinner was quite monotonous. I understand it’s the end of the season, but still. There’s a theme like “something new every day,” but the taste is the same. I would suggest the hotel management make, for example, one day Mexican, another day Turkish, then Italian, Eastern, etc. That would bring variety in flavors and colors. Here, it’s like broccoli with one sauce today, Brussels sprouts with the same sauce tomorrow, or grilled chicken breast today, chicken ribs tomorrow — same sauce, same technique. Overall, it was a wonderful and amazing vacation, and we wouldn’t mind returning."
