Scandic Malmo City

"We have stayed in lots of city hotels around Europe and this is probably the best we’ve ever stayed at. The staff were always super helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived. The room was a fairly decent size, it was nice to have a kitchenette and everywhere was very clean. We had a double bed (which was 2 singles pushed together) and it was huge, lots of space and comfy. The sofa bed was a decent size but not as comfy. We paid for breakfast and I’d highly reccomend it. Amazing choice of hot and cold options and particularly good for people with allergies as lots of dairy and gluten free choices. On the day we left we had some tile before our flight home and we were able to securely store our luggage for free and there was a bathroom for us to use too. Football table went down heat too! We will definitely consider another sacnidc hotel in the future."

"We stayed at Scandic Malmö from February 18th to 22nd. The only real positive point was the breakfast, which was decent with a reasonable selection. The reception staff were polite, but nothing particularly welcoming or memorable. Unfortunately, the cleanliness and overall quality of the room were extremely disappointing. The hygiene standards were clearly not up to par and absolutely not what you would expect from a 4-star hotel, not even a solid 3-star. The room felt poorly maintained, and the cleaning appeared superficial at best. To make matters worse, after returning home and visiting a doctor, two of us were diagnosed with scabies. Given the visible lack of hygiene in the room, this raises serious concerns about cleanliness and sanitation standards. We are very disappointed with this experience and strongly hope the hotel takes immediate action to improve room hygiene to prevent other guests from going through the same situation."

"The hotel is pretty well located. The hotel is good - nothing special, but very reasoable for the price. We moved rooms because we were initially in one with a kitchenette but without a dishwasher. I don't think there's a difference in price so we were paying the same as for a slightly bigger room and bigger kitchen area so that was a bit of a pain (especially as we are a family of 4 and smaller family travelling with us were automatically given a bigger room). They had marshmallows in a jar on the reception counter which made the children very very happy. My only gripe would be that breakfast was a little underwhelming - I am vegetarian and the choice was quite limited so I had the same few things every day. By the 4th day I was ready for a change. If we didn't have children with us I would have preferred to eat out for breakfast but with children it's just easier to eat at the hotel. Sweden is a great country though and even if the hotel was rubbish (which it wasn't), it would have been lovely because Malmo is a great city and surpassed my expectations. The Christmas lights and decorations were beautiful - so clean, ordered and calm. A great city in a great country!"
