Hotel Murcia Rincon de Pepe Affiliated by Melia

"This was a disappointing experience. I booked a Junior Suite as it was my wife’s birthday, so we wanted to have a special time. When we arrived in our room, which was ok, but not special, we had to endure 2 hours of drilling and hammering above our room. We were told it would stop in 1 hour, it didn’t. We eventually just went out as the noise was unbearable. We enjoyed a lovely dinner in their tapas bar and went to bed in a now thankfully quiet room. The following morning, before leaving, we tried to have a shower, but it was broken. A maintenance man appeared and said he would be back to repair it. We never saw him again. On leaving, at reception, I registered my complaints and was initially offered free parking as compensation! Needless to say I found this totally unacceptable. Eventually, after much haggling I agreed to pay the price of a standard room, about half the price of the Junior Suite. An acceptable compromise. We will never return to this hotel again and would advise other people to avoid it."

"The experience was wonderful. It is located just a few steps from the Cathedral and the Mercado de Correos, which allows you to walk around the entire center. The room was spacious, comfortable and the reception staff very attentive. I highlight the kindness and friendliness of Enrique, who served us every morning in the breakfast area. Highly recommended for visiting the city!"

"This time we have taken the junior master suite to have our well-deserved rest. And of course. It is spectacular."
