Is this the prettiest village in Spain? You’ll have to experience Fornalutx holidays for yourself to decide for yourself, but this rural spot in west Majorca is an undoubtedly fabulous destination. An exceedingly well-preserved, centuries-old town, the resort is nestled in the Serra de Tramuntana mountains at the top of the Soller Valley. You could quite easily spend a day wandering the cobblestoned streets, soaking up the beautiful architecture and people-watching in the main square.
There are some fantastic restaurants to discover, serving up local Majorcan food – and a few very good international options, too. When you’re feeling more adventurous, head out of the village to the mountain range. The true beauty of holidays to Fornalutx lies in its nature – head out on a bicycle or go for a hike and breathe in the scent of the citrus groves, as well as the pure mountain air.

Originally built in 1639, the Gothic church is the main landmark building in the village. It features a unique mix of Gothic and Baroque architecture.

There are some fantastic well-signed hiking trails in Fornalutx that will lead you through mountains, stone villages and olive groves, and offer beautiful coastal views.

One of the best things to do in Fornalutx is to hang out in the main square. Enjoy the view of the mountains or have a coffee with the locals.
