Iberostar Waves Cala Millor

"Very disappointed with our stay here last week. We’d booked a ‘garden view’ room, only to find the view directly adjacent to the pool bar & wall. Not the ‘views of the pine forest’ as both theirs and jet2 state. The hotel stated there were no other rooms available- offered us an upgrade which we ended up paying 300 euros for the following morning as our original room was loud and awful, as 3 women arriving on our first night to groups of men practically outside our patio was not right. They told us no other rooms were available yet I then found another couple had been moved. So disappointing! The food was ok, as you’d expect for AI. Service was slow, staff were not the most friendly and for an adults only ‘wellness hotel’ it was pathetic. The spa pool was cold, the hotel outside pool baltic. You only get the sun in certain areas through the day due to the hotel and a high rise building next to it so you need to be moving around. The one good point was it was clean. More of a 3* than 4* hotel. Its on the very end of Cala Millor, a good 20 minute walk into the centre. Id never return and I really dont recommend it here either. Much better hotels around for the price."

"We are just back from an amazing stay at Iberostar Waves Cala Millor and honestly we had such a lovely holiday 🌴☀️ very relaxing hotel. The hotel itself is spotless genuinely outstanding cleanliness everywhere you looked. The staff were all incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay and worked so hard every single day. The location is beautiful right beside the sea with direct access onto the promenade, making it perfect for walks along the front day or night. There was always something nearby to do whether it was karaoke, cycling, little bars, crazy golf, Horse riding, beaches or simply sitting listening to the sea. One thing we found really useful was the Taxi1 app for getting around locally, although the hotel staff were also more than happy to order taxis for you anytime which made everything easy and stress free. The gym deserves a mention too because for a hotel gym it was honestly amazing 💪 I actually used it properly while away and even managed my hangs… although my shoulder may have regretted my enthusiasm afterwards 😂 Food overall was lovely with plenty choice and lots of fresh Mediterranean style options. If I was being picky, the food wasn’t always piping hot and the plates themselves were often cold too, but there was a microwave available to reheat things which helped. The outdoor pool also wasn’t heated… although I still went in like a brave lunatic while everyone else looked at me as if I’d lost my mind 🥶😂 The cocktails were really nice, but slightly disappointing that many weren’t included within the all inclusive package and needed a small supplement charge. Personally I think allowing maybe 2 cocktails included each day would make the all inclusive experience feel even more special just a suggestion rather than a complaint. We did pay extra for the panoramic sea view room which was lovely but not worth the extra we paid. Overall though, these were only tiny niggles in what was genuinely a fantastic holiday. Relaxed adults-only atmosphere, beautiful views, lovely staff, great gym, gorgeous surroundings and lots of laughs and memories made together ❤️ We would definitely return, we miss you already 😢"
