"Nice hotel, beach front , friendly and helpful staff. Nice room, good size bathroom. Hot powerful shower. Ok ish breakfast, not so good evening dinner as it was a bit of mish mash of foods, some not replenished. Be careful on booking your room as when I booked thought yes good room and I emailed hotel in advance to ask for a quiet room high floor walk in shower etc. Got floor 5, nice walk in shower , good side sea view but oh my God every night the noise from the honky tonk pub below my balcony was awful. Couldn't sleep, had to buy earplugs. No chance of leaving balcony door open to hear the ocean waves. Noise was awful. I know that's not hotel fault but surely they weren't at full capacity late October and could of given me a quieter room. But unless i paid an extra ,£160 I was told thus was the room I booked . Yes but I booked through loveholidays and it doesn't say where your room is. Overall ok but far too noisy I came here to relax due to ongoing illness but next year will go back to Hipotels Mediterraneo adults in sa coma."

"Top hotel, always nice in May"

"We were at this hotel for the second time at the beginning of July. We were warmly welcomed again with a glass of sparkling wine and received an upgrade to a junior suite with a direct view of the pool and the beach. The hotel is located directly on the beach promenade and fortunately not in the center of Cala Millor, where it gets a bit louder, especially in the evenings. The Hipocampo is a bit older, but everything is very clean and the entire staff at the reception, the bar, or in the restaurant is very friendly and extremely helpful. The buffet restaurant is worth highlighting. We have not had such a good buffet in any other hotel so far. The selection and quality of the food were really very good every evening; the salad buffet alone was simply excellent. The gala dinner that takes place on Thursdays surpassed everything once again. The breakfast buffet was also varied and delicious. At lunchtime, you can also get very delicious snacks at the pool bar, and we found the prices for the dishes as well as for all drinks to be very moderate. Overall, we can recommend this hotel again. Our tips for the management: If you offer an upgrade to a junior suite, the coffee capsules for the coffee machine should not be charged separately at 1 EUR. Also, the air conditioning in the restaurant should be set a bit higher given the really high temperatures in July."
