Aloft Madrid Gran Via

"This hotel checked all of the boxes we were looking for during our weekend in Madrid. The hotel location is great (we walked to both the Prado Museum and the Royal Palace from the hotel). There is also a Metro Station 50 meters from the hotel door. While you’re walkable to everything, you’re tucked away enough that it stays relatively quiet and sleep was undisturbed by the late Madrid nights. The hotel maintains the typical “young” Aloft brand feel and vibe, but I found the staff to be at a level of professional service above the typical Aloft experience. They were friendly, helpful, always available (and even allowed me to practice my Spanish with them even though their English was much better than my Spanish)! The rooms are clean, newly furnished and comfortable. Also, key for us during our stay was the excellent air conditioning that kept the room very comfortable even on the hottest of days. Finally, they have a great breakfast setup in the lobby every morning which features eggs, sausage, ham, cheeses and meats, bread and jams as well as American cereals (like Frosted Flakes) and yogurts. For the price, this hotel can’t be beat!"

"This hotel was in an excellent location. Can walk, take the bus or subway. Safe area. Staff was friendly and spent New Years at the hotel. Initially my first room was not in a good location and the vent was not working. Then i got moved to a higher floor and the heater was on and was running high. I had to open the windows. I called the staff the next morning and the maintenance people were able to fix it. No problems after that. It was overall a great experience."
