"A small detail on the final bill when checking out of the hotel pretty much ruined my vacation mood: Since my (printed) final bill was very clear due to the short vacation, one item in the middle immediately caught my eye: Tips Bar 10% it said. Upon inquiry, the receptionist explained that this was the tip for the waiters in the dining room and asked if I had already given a tip to the service staff. "Of course" was my answer, of course I always give the maid and the waiters a little something, but always voluntarily for friendly service. I was stunned; simply increasing the invoice amount by 10% of the total without being asked and without any prior notice—I had never experienced that from any hotel on Ibiza before; it is simply outrageous. Of course, the employees in the background (kitchen assistants, cook, organization, etc.) should also receive recognition; there are other ways to do this, but I want to decide for myself who receives recognition from me. In my eyes, such a practice is a rip-off of the guest; this is also impermissible, and my wallet does not tolerate such self-service! In the future, I will check the details very carefully and demand a correction, since I usually pay with cash; I will not tolerate such a scheme in the future."

"Hotel lovely and clean, from reception, bar, restaurant and rooms. Bright and well maintained. Food is varied and good quality. Prices in the bar are excellent and cocktails very good value. Beach is disappointing with large build up of seaweed. Pool is good with plenty sunbeds. Location beautiful. Supermarket next door. Overall great place to stay."

During our stay at the Hotel Argos, $2,470, €225, and some Gucci glasses were stolen from inside the room while we went down to have breakfast. They thoroughly searched the backpack where we had the money stored. Upon notifying the front desk and after having a meeting with Juan José Riera, the director of the establishment, the hotel's attitude was pathetic: no solution, no interest, and not even a single apology. We have already filed a report with the police (I am attaching it). They ruined our vacation.
