"The hotel is a good hotel. The staff is always friendly in every area and really has a lot on their plate. You can tell from the furnishings that the hotel has been around for quite a few years. Floor trim is damaged or missing, the closets in the rooms no longer function properly, electrical outlets are worn out, door handles (in the bathroom) wobble, showerheads no longer stay in place, and towel racks are loose. There’s a lot of work to be done to maintain the standard this hotel claims to uphold. It’s not easy for a hotel to keep everything in good shape when you have guests who don’t appreciate it and treat the interior poorly. The same goes for the restaurant, by the way: it’s unbelievable how much food the staff has to throw away every day from guests who can’t get enough to eat.
The food in the restaurant is great. However, there’s a lack of variety. With a little more creativity, that wouldn’t be a problem even at the same cost. It feels like there are the same three types of pasta every day, along with the same pizza and cookies from a can. I think that could be better in this price range. Unfortunately, a significant portion of the food is convenient or processed or cooked for so long that no vitamins are left. All of that can be done better if the hotel claims to be in this price range.
There is no entertainment program. I would simply cancel the morning exercise session, as it follows no plan whatsoever. The guy from the entertainment team does exercises you’d expect to see on “Candid Camera.” The music playing in the background is completely random and unprepared. This could be done better in this price category.
Every now and then a DJ shows up and blasts the pool area at full volume for two hours, only to stop exactly on the dot. What’s left is tinnitus. Suggestion: Better placement of the speakers around the pool to keep the volume a bit lower, so that the Ibiza house vibe still dominates but conversation is still possible. If I only have two speakers, both blasting the entire area from the same spot, that just doesn’t work.
The pool area is huge, clean, and beautifully laid out. There should be plenty of space for everyone here. There are actually enough lounge chairs as well.
There is an evening program, but it’s tricky. The guests are very, very diverse; satisfying them all with a single evening program is nearly impossible. I would simply organize a DJ session every night featuring different music genres. That fits the Ibiza vibe, and everyone feels included.
Problem with bad weather (doesn’t happen often): all the guests are in the lobby because there’s no other place for them to go. And then it’s as loud as a train station in there. This could be fixed by, for example, rearranging the pool tables or placing some nice paravents.
And one more note on all-inclusive: I understand that you want to save money, but if all-inclusive is offered, then it should actually be all-inclusive. It’s hard to understand why you have to pay for a cappuccino but not for a café con leche. However, I can also see the hotel’s perspective, because a few guests have absolutely no sense of moderation and drink until the pool is empty. Suggestion: in an age where everyone has a cell phone, use an app that allows each guest to check their daily allowance. That’s certainly better than advertising an all-inclusive rate that isn’t actually all-inclusive.
All in all, this is a great hotel, but not for the price range in which it offers its services on the market.
Thanks to the always friendly staff from check-in to check-out. You’re doing a great job, including your phenomenal Ibiza tour agent in the lobby."
