Vincci Albayzin

"Mrs W and I tend to book small boutique hotels that are family owned, we only booked the Vincci Albayzinas we were last minute and they were offering a good rate that included Car Parking. Our expectations of a large chain hotel were not high but I honestly have to say that The Vincci was a very pleasant surprise. I contacted them beforehand about car parking and someone actually at the hotel actually answered the phone to explain about dropping off our bags and they would then organise the car parking. This of course did not go entirely to plan as both myself and Mrs W brought the wrong paperwork, the Vincci do however have a a particularly pleasant and resourceful receptionist called Andrea who got on her phone, asked questions and rectified our mistake. This got us off to a very good start. Of course I am the sort of chap who likes to pre plan and I asked Andrea directions to a tapas bar we fancied for lunch, she knew it's location and explained where it was, in conversation she mentioned another restaurant that is her personal favourite and also excellent and if our first choice was busy we then had an option. Because she was so so helpful and enthusiastic we decided to go with her recommend, which I have to say was absolutely wonderful. We booked a Vincci room which was modern and very clean, the bathroom was particularly stylish and overall was very comfortable. We both found the hotel to have a particularly friendly atmosphere, their people seemed very happy to be working there. Breakfast is normally somewhere I find 4 Star chain hotels struggle, on this occasion Breakfast again exceeded our expectations, the general greeting was very pleasant, the quality of the fresh fruit was well presented and there was a cooked to order egg station with a Chef who was pleasant and seemed to genuinely want us to really enjoy the fresh omelette he had made for us. This was only a brief night stop without much expectation, however we felt very comfortable and welcome. We are back again in Granada in April for 2 more nights and we have already booked the hotel again. Simply because of the people at Vincci we have re booked."

"Our first time in Granada, and we will go again, mainly to the wonderful staff at Vincci Albayzin. As we arrived early on the bus the reception staff helped us with our luggage and prioritised a room. The room was a good size, clean and quiet. They also helped arrange a flamenco show - it was in a cave house and should be on everyone's bucket list. The bar and restaurant are also worth going to with great service and food."

"I only came here for a late lunch (not a guest) but the tapas selection was delicious and the staff were very helpful considering I don't speak a lick of Spanish. Even when it got busy they didn't make me feel forgotten amongst the crowd"
