Sercotel Gran Hotel Luna de Granada

"We picked this hotel as we wanted somewhere secure to keep the hire car, and didn't want to negotiate the streets of Granada. It is a very comfortable hotel, providing lots of additional information about daily event in Granada. We used the indoor pool and thought the breakfast was very good - including the new omelette chef. All staff were friendly and helpful. Great location just off the GR30 and a short walk into all the attractions. We walked back from a Flamenco show all the way up in Sacromonte and it took only 35 minutes on a balmy evenings. Close to supermarkets and a choice or reasonably priced restaurant. 10/10 for providing a free water station at reception to refill bottles and reduce plastic!"

"The hotel is huge! What I didn’t like the most was the air conditioning. When I was on the bed the air conditioning was so cold, I had to turn it off. Then the room got really hot! It was very uncomfortable to be in the room. We also had a problem with the parking attendant. We were confused about where to go and made a wrong turn. Instead of helping us he screamed at us. Also, we were there in September and it was extremely hot. They had closed the outdoor pool. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel."

"Very disappointed with this hotel. Arrived to find there is nothing around it. Nowhere to go for dinner in the evening. Paid for a premium room and had to go back to reception to get it changed as I have stayed in standard rooms in hotels that were better. Because you put a super king bed in the room doesn't make it a premium room. Having to get a taxi into the centre to get dinner each night. Arrived back to find two towels and a toilet roll on the unmade bed with a note on top of them. The note read, because of short staff we are unable to service your room. So bins not emptied, no refreshment of tea and coffee and basically nothing touched. They also advertise 24 hour breakfast but didn't make it obvious that it is not in the buffet room. So we arrived down for breakfast at 10.30 only to be told they are closing. Then the girl told us to go ahead and get it breakfast and charged me €36. When I got coffee and juice and something to eat the girl came over and said they were closing in 5 minutes and we needed to eat up and leave. I also paid more for this hotel than hotels in the town centre. Well done Gran Luna. I will be contacting you for some sort of compensation."
