"Stayed for one night to see Alhambra - perfect location- excellent staff - large room with windows that open to fresh air and tranquility (trees) - nice bathroom with separate tub and shower - nice pool area with gym and sauna - nice 15 minute walk to town down a path with water flow - magical! (There are buses if you prefer not to walk). Great value for what you get."

"Hands down one of the nicest and best value hotels I’ve stayed at in a long time. The staff in every aspect were unbelievably good, very friendly yet professional and could not do more for you. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, very clean with climate controls which aren’t oppressively blowing out cold air. The breakfast was fine and it’s only a 10 minute walk to the centre of town with a couple of cafes and bars at the bottom of the hill. It is quite steep so you’d need to have a reasonable level of fitness but there’s a bus stop outside of the hotel. Locationwise it’s almost directly across from the Alhambra so very convenient for a visit, but you are a little bit out of town which won’t suit everyone. All in all I was really impressed and would recommend."

"I loved both the location and the charm of the hotel. The setting is simply spectacular: right in the gardens of the Alhambra and barely 20 meters from its entrance. I am from Granada and, from time to time, I like to stay in hotels in my own city to get to know them and evaluate them. Without a doubt, the Washington Irving is among the best I have been to. It is an especially recommended hotel if you are looking for more than just accommodation and want to truly feel the atmosphere, the history, and that very special aura that surrounds the Alhambra. Being there, especially when evening falls and the area becomes quieter, is a true marvel. A privileged location and a very special experience."
