LIVVO Valle Taurito & Waterpark

"My family is leaving the hotel today and we would like to say it’s been a wonderful week. The staff are very polite and helpful, the hotel and position is very good indeed. The beach is less than five minutes away , no hills. The food has been as good as if not better than most I’ve visited in my long years. Seated areas for families ( we were six, two young children). The pool is great, in sunlight all day. Puerto Rica is about €15 euros each way and we visited three times. The beach is dark sand but very pretty, calm bay and sunbeds at €3.50 a day. I saw a guy walking around taking photographs of defects like he was on a mission and no doubt he is amongst those negatives reviews but believe me I would return in a heartbeat, with Grandchildren or as a couple with my wife. The sun has shone on the bar and pool all week, very short queues for drinks and not a negative thing to say , in fact, praise all the way."

"Beige. That’s the one word I would use to summarise this place. And for anyone who has read the Crayons colour books, you will get this anology. It doesn’t actually have any real redeeeming features for me to write about I’m afraid. I mean, don’t get me wrong, it’s not dreadful but we can’t always get every holiday bang on. The size of the room was very good but had no tea/coffee making facilities. Bed/s were un comfy. Not enough pillows. Balcony was a really good side but the doesn’t get a lot of sun as it’s on the wrong side of the valley. Food. Pretty average. Pretty sure I got food poisoning which laid me up for 24 hours. Both kids also unwell (but not as bad as me!) thankfully. Drinks. They were okay to start with but a rather limited selection. Only getting 2 at a time was a pain, esp when you have kids. They also wouldn’t put drinks in your own cups which was annoying. Oh and the bar doesn’t take cash. Card only. Waterpark was okay for a few hours a day. Plenty of sunbeds. Salt water was a bit odd but loads of room for the kids to have fun. Whole place was a bit rundown. They seem to be looking to improve it but it’s all a bit dated. The kids club people come round about 11am and 230pm and they have the smaller ones go off and do some stuff and the 9s and over go off and do football/minigoof/archery/table tennis. Team seem nice enough but not too in your face which is good IMO. Catering staff in the restuarant are probably the nicest, all very good with the kids and very efficient. For me, if you can get cheap it’s okay but I defo won’t be rushing back."

"Just arrived home from a lovely family holiday! I was extremely nervous due to the amount of negative reviews, I didn’t need to be at all! We arrived quite late and we were welcomed and was given a food bag each with a sandwich water, biscuits and fruit, which I thought was lovely, the hotel is very clean the staff were great, rooms are spacious and the view from the balcony’s were great! The food was average (as you would expect at an all inclusive) my 6 year old enjoyed some of it, especially the pizza and the churros and pancakes at breakfast (very picky eater). Pool is bigger than I thought, abit cold when you first get in though! The water park is great, again water is cold and my son didn’t like the salt water so we only ended up going twice during our stay, would suit older children better, the entertainment at night was in the fun zone I think it was called, in the middle of all the hotels, it was lovely and there is still a good selection of AI drinks there included. We ventured out most days for either lunch or dinner and we dined at the sunset bar and the Taurito Grill, both fantastic (especially if you like to watch a bit of footy) the staff really make you feel welcome and made a fuss of my son, the sunset there is beautiful, I cannot recommend enough. We would definitely come back here, please don’t take too much notice of the bad reviews like I did."
