Renaissance Barcelona

"Stayed here for 4 nights prior to a 10 day cruise. This is the best hotel we ever stayed in. The whole staff was great. The food and drinks were very good. The location works out very well for many of the Barcelona attractions. If we ever get back to Barcelona, this will be our first choice."

"As other guests have already mentioned, the entire team at this hotel is welcoming, friendly and always willing to help or go the extra mile to make guests feel comfortable and well looked after. On arrival, I was greeted by Yana at reception, who immediately offered me some water, which was very much appreciated in the lunchtime heat. She was extremely helpful and happy to share a few useful tips, making a great first impression. I was also pleasantly surprised to receive an upgrade to a Prestige room. The room was incredibly spacious, the bathroom was excellent, and the air conditioning worked exceptionally well, all of which contributed to a very comfortable stay. At breakfast, I was welcomed by Agustin, who was attentive, friendly and immediately made a positive impression. I was even more impressed when, some 45 minutes later, he addressed me by name to let me know that the breakfast buffet would soon be closing. Such attention to detail and personal service really do make a difference. Finally, at check-out, I was once again greeted by smiling faces, with at least three members of the team offering to help with my luggage. Right up until the very end, I felt genuinely looked after and cared for. In fact, the hospitality was so good that I found myself almost reluctant to leave! A big thank you to Yana, Agustin and the entire team for making this such a positive experience. It is the people who make the difference, and this team is a real credit to the hotel. I would happily return and would certainly recommend it to others."

"We stayed at Renaissance for 1 night pre-cruise. It did the job but its not a 5 star hotel. The rooms are postage stamp small. There are no end tables which makes using a CPAP difficult. The closets are small. The walls are paper thin - do not plan on sleeping in. The "pool" is barely larger than a jacuzzi. The location is ok. There are a labyrinth of one way streets that taxis need to navigate. Next time we will stay closer to the pier at the W."
