Olivia Balmes

"I like this hotel a lot, but I did not like the rooms the doors don’t close fully. You can see your own shadow and the looks. I didn’t not like them a lot."

"My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Olivia Balmes. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, from the doorman to the pool bar attendant. Excellent service. The premises are very clean, modern, and well maintained. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept on! We enjoyed the fitness center, it has all the basics, including a filtered water dispenser (not easy to come by in this part of the world!), and the adjacent rooftop deck is a nice option for laying out an exercise mat. Loved the location in the Esquerra de l'Eixample, which has more of a locals feel than the Barri Gotic yet is close enough to reach most major attractions by foot or public transit. Lots of great cafes, restaurants, and other services nearby. The hotel also served as a nice place to return mid-day for a siesta break, as it would get very warm in the afternoon (we visited in July) and dividing up our day into 2 segments made sense on several levels. If we ever return to Barcelona, we would definitely consider staying at Olivia Balmes again."
