"This is just not a five star hotel. When we checked in, there was only one gentleman at the counter and it was relatively slow. What’s odd is there were 3 employees at the Concierge stand doing nothing. Why not cross train so the Concierge can step over and help guests especially when so many of us are getting off of long flights and two hour immigration lines? They do not honor any Bonvoy upgrades so we had the most basic room and despite the photos showing a deck we did not even have that. They did offer an upgrade for $2000 a night which is insane because the most expensive room (without even transferring your existing points) is $1000 a night. The toilet is separate from the rest of the bathroom so you have to walk around the room to get to the sink after using it. The lights are difficult to figure out. The nightstands so tiny and low as to be useless. Finally, the hallways are deep, the floors, walls and ceilings so that you feel like you are a soul traveling through a human artery. One of the elevators (there are just two) was broken the entire time we were there. One redeeming fact is the upstairs rooftop eating area as the food was delicious but I would hardly call the lhe narrow “large tub” up there a pool. They are much better options in this"

"Everything was great until checkout, I told the gentlewoman that was checking me out several times that one of mini bar items I’m being charged for is incorrect. She didn’t seem to be concerned at all that I was telling her I don’t even drink the item that I was charged for. That was very unprofessional to me because she seem to not care."

"Honestly, this place isn’t 5-star. Here are the things that were wrong when I arrived: 1st night: - Remote control didn’t work - Blinds didn’t work - No robes - Dirty bathtub - Dirt and paint chips on walls - Headache inducing smell of bleach / chlorine I shared with management and reception that the room wasn’t acceptable and they said there was no other room in the entire hotel which just wasn’t true. 2nd night: - Blinds still didn’t work (after the woman at reception said they were fixed) - Dirty towels (red marks on towels) - I requested new towels and they never came - Still no robes Again, the receptionist said this was the only room in the entire hotel which again was not true. Then she said there was one room available in a higher category (no offer of an upgrade despite the reported issues). This was after she said there were no rooms available in a higher category at all. I’ve stayed at MANY hotels all around the world and several in Barcelona. I can confirm, this is not a five star. There is much much better on both service and cleanliness. I might recommend the restaurant as it’s well designed but I would not recommend staying here."
