"I traveled alone to Porto at the end of August and returned on Sept 8. I never felt alone but was welcomed in and royally taken care of, even though I arrived before 7 a.m. After being up all night on the plane, it made a huge difference in my outlook to be welcomed. The folks helped me with maps and orientation right away and ushered me into the restaurant for a wonderful breakfast. By the time I headed out for my walking tour I felt I was with a family. Even though I blundered around to get on the metro, forgetting I didn't know the right stop, I got off at the right place; but after that, the hotel folks escorted me to the station to walk through getting tickets for the airport and for around town. The restaurant recommendations suited me well. I loved my room the first night. However, on my return, I was welcomed like a movie star and was ushered to an even more luxurious room. I even had time to enjoy the garden and pool area. I would love to return with more time in Porto and at the hotel."

"Beautiful quaint hotel in a great location, close to everything, ideal for walking from place to place. Staff so friendly. Hotel vibe is very relaxing. Pool area is mall but lovely. We had a room with a balcony it was so airy."
