Porto Trindade Hotel

"Our first experience of Porto - where no port is produced - you have to go over 50 miles north to find the growers. We enjoyed our three nights and our room was cosy. The hotel was fairly centrally located with a few bakeries and junk food places around. It’s close to Trindade train station. There’s also a supermarket nearby. There was a kettle in the room for tea and coffee. Phone charging is difficult as the plugs are inconveniently licated. We were offered a complimentary glass of port - only red was offered when we went to their bar, the pour was un ungenerous and worst of all it was pretty lousy tasting. The breakfast was quite good with an omelette station and there’s little by way of good offerings in the evenings . As is common throughout Portugal lots of sweet pies offered at brekky. I don’t know the room price as it was part of a package deal. The staff were helpful and accommodating. We would stay again but honestly it was our first visit to Porto and maybe our expectations were high as Lisbon is wonderful and we were a bit disappointed but not with the hotel."

"Nice sized room and bathroom. We did have some cleaning products left in our room which was a little bit of a turn off, but other than that the room was clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and the location was convenient next to the metro station but still quiet. The included breakfast was great!"

"Stayed 2 nights before starting the Camino. Great location, very clean, friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Will stay again if I return to Porto. X"
