Tivoli Kopke Porto Gaia Hotel

"Walking into this hotel you're immediately met with a great smell, and stunning visuals. The art, architecture, and overall vibe is killer. Checkin was very smooth, but signage was quite difficult to understand. It's hard to tell in the picture, but there are several levels that aren't necessarily built together, so its jumping from one set of elevators to another, but guessing which direction to go in between. Lots of amenities they offer for a price, as well as some complimentary accommodations. We booked through AMEX in the premium hotels collection. They immediately gave us a print out and explanation of benefits. We also utilized the parking garage which was nice as well. We received 1 hour of complimentary spa facilities, and while it didn't include any services, the indoor pool, and sauna were a great experience. While there we also tried several different Kopke Port wines which were great too. Only a couple of negatives to our experience. The bathroom area in the room felt quite cramped. There's virtually no counter space for toiletries, and you're not getting two people side by side in that space to get ready. Not sure which room type this was but it was on the 7th floor. Our shower also drained quite slow the first couple of nights and then refused to drain at all the morning of our departure, so forfeiting that before travel was a bit of a disappointment. Hotel staff was very apologetic though upon checkout. Overall we had a good experience and I'd recommend to others. No one can predict small issues like the drain problem so I wouldn't hold that against them. Would be nice to not feel cramped getting ready, but the rest of the room was great. Bed was comfortable, staff was nice, and everything was clean. "
