White Shell Beach Villas

"We’ve just left from our 4 night stay at White Shell Beach Villas. It’s one of the best holidays we’ve had. The rooms are clean, really well equipped and beautifully decorated. We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa with its own roof terrace. The pool area was peaceful, in September, with plenty of sunbeds to go around and a lovely pool bar where we had lunch most days. The beach is about a 10 minute walk, with a lovely cafe there - great for morning coffee - and the large supermarket about the same, 10 minute walk in the other direction. Uber is served well in the area and we thought it was good value for money for hops to the next town or even to and from the supermarket, if you didn’t want to hire a car. All the staff are friendly and efficient and, in our experience, really do go out of their way to make your stay the best it can be. As a previous reviewer mentioned - everything just works and I totally agree."

"We have just stayed for a week in the White Shell Beach Villas and it has been one of our best holidays ever! Everything just 'works' - nice modern, clean and well specced accommodation, reception staff available 24hrs for any issues, even down to clothes washing pods and dishwasher tablets available upon request. They have thought of everything you need to make your time go as smoothly as possible. How many times have you had to make a trip to a supermarket to buy a massive box of washing detergent and you only use a scoop? There's a lovely spacious garage to park your car in and the grounds are well cared for even in the hot weather. Breakfast is lovely although very similar each day - a bit of variety would have been nice but that's a minor grumble . My only other grumble would be the outside pool which was too cold for my liking but others were using it fine. The indoor pool and Jacuzzi were lovely - heated and really clean. There's a well cared for Padel tennis court and a tennis court which are freely available which we used almost every day! The location is great although a car is handy I would say. There's a good sized supermarket about half a kilometre away and the beach is about the same distance and is gorgeous. All in all our family of 5 had a really fantastic stay at the White Shell Beach Villas and would highly recommend."

"Spent 7 days at White Shell in a superior 2 bedroom villa, family of 4 (kids 7 and 9). Accomodation was spacious, modern and clean, 2 bathrooms with walk in rain showers (no bathtub). Good air con which we needed as it was so hot! Two verandas on either side, to watch sunrise and sunset every day. Internal door between living and bedroom areas, which meant we could enjoy our evening after kids went to sleep. Fully equipped kitchen, including washer/dryer. They don't provide dishwasher detergent or laundry detergent, but you can pick these up at the nearby supermarket. Drying rack provided to dry towels/swimsuits. TV with kids channels, some we could change into English. Some movie channels in English too, but not a smart TV so no Netflix/Prime. Wifi good and included with the room reservation. Plenty of towels, face clothes and 1 beach towel per person. Wheeled shopping basket provided for going to/from pool, supermarket if needed. Pool area was lovely, its shaped as a circle with baja shelf going around so little ones can splash about. Middle was about 1.2m deep. Indoor pool also avaialable. Plenty of sunloungers and umbrellas, and the staff were more than happy to help move them around as needed. Even on the most busy day, we were able to get one immediately and usually had our pick. Gym is small but nice, just a bike, treadmill and a few kettlebells but there are plenty of walking/hiking trails nearby. Private and group yoga also available. Restaurant and pool bar were excellent, food was fresh and delicious, and although menu was not extensive we were happy. Food service is only during specified times which are more aligned to Portugese schedules (pool bar 12:30-5, restaurant from 8pm), which didn't suit our littles so we only ate dinner once at the restaurant, but it was delicious! We had lunch every day at the pool bar. Plenty of food options in walking distance, and also very easy to get Ubers. We even got Uber eats a few times. Staff were all friendly and helpful, made us feel at home. We will be back!"
